Joe Lafferty

Over 30 years as a senior manager, business founder, consultant in organisation development, innovation and leadership.

Joe’s passion is to equip leaders to lead responsibly, building responsible business. His specialty is in working with challenging group dynamics and conflict in groups. Helping leaders surface issues in constructive ways and align complex decisions around business priorities and change.

Joe’s background is in Engineering and General Management in the energy industry. As an independent leadership consultant and executive coach since 2002, he brings decades of practical wisdom to his work with clients. His creative approach draws from a wide range of tools and models to illuminate and enable managers to lead change effectively. Since qualifying as an Electrical Engineer, He obtained an MBA from Warwick University.
Joe works in English, and serves clients across Europe from his base in Dundee, Scotland. 
In 2011 Joe was appointed guest lecturer at Dundee University and was recently appointed Executive Teaching Fellow at Aberdeen University. He has partnered with the Scottish Institute for Business Leaders on many programs and also illustrated books about leadership and engagement by Dick Axelrod. Joe is also a global affiliate forFlawless Consulting™ programs by Peter Block/Designed Learning.

Joe’s personal interests span photography, music, fly fishing and the creative arts. He is Chair of Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA). Joe is an avid contributor to many community initiatives for the city of Dundee. He is proud father of 3, and a young grandfather. He’s an avid photographer, often capturing amazing nature and landscape shots wherever he works and travels. He’s also a keen acoustic guitar player.
